FAMILY: I've been married to Marty for over 15 years. I met her in 7th grade. Ms. Dean's third period English class at Daphne Junior High School to be exact. On the bus ride home, I called dibs on her, and I made good on that promise about 9 years later! We have two children. Lana is 10 years old, and she loves ot read and is an impressive artist. Luke is 6. He is a joy to know, and he is VERY funny...but don't tell him because it's probably getting him into trouble right now.

RESPONSIBILITIES AT JBC: As the Youth Pastor, I....well....pastor our youth. I lead the ministries to our students in grades 7 through 12. I, alongside a lot of other gifted people, make this a place in which students know what they believe, know that they are family, and know that they are affecting their world for the Kingdom of Christ. We do this through weekly worship, Sunday School, small groups, camps/retreats/trips, DNow Weekend, ministry, missions, and water balloons.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: I graduated from Fairhope High School in 1991, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from the University of Mobile in 1995. We moved to Birmingham to attend Beeson Divinity School in 1994, and I finished there with a Masters of Divinity in 1999. I started preaching in 1992 when I was 19 years old. I spent nearly ten years playing in bands, leading worship, and preaching to students. For the last four years, I served in the Student Ministry at Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover, AL as the Minister of MIddle School. In April 2009, God called us to Jubilee Baptist Church to pastor this great group of students.

INTERESTS: I love to hang out with my family. We laugh a lot and do all kinds of fun things together. I like listening to live music, fishing (though tough to do with no boat!), spending time at the hunting camp, and waking up to the smell of salt and the sound of waves crashing. A few years ago, I gave up golf. Lately, though, I have been shamed back on the course.
